The Swedish Drupal Awards are awarded in the categories of best Swedish Drupal website, Swedish drupalist of the year, Swedish Drupal design of the year and Swedish Drupal technology of year.
The goal of the Swedish Drupal Awards is to recognize remarkable Drupal achievements, releases, efforts and people in Sweden in the past year.
Nominations have been open at DrupalCamp.se. A jury has then picked the finalists and the winners were then selected through voting at DrupalCamp Stockholm, this past Saturday. We're extremely proud to have been voted winners in three (out of four) categories:
Best Drupal website
Competing for this award with Swedish Incubators & Science Parks, Olsson & Gerthel, Möbler.se, Sortera, Fitnessguru, Trafiklab, Malmö Opera, Zootis and Ericsson In-Game Communication, IKEA Livet Hemma was voted the winner. Designed and conceptualized by Futurniture, built and implemented by NodeOne, IKEA Livet Hemma is a community website on inspiration with and about IKEA's products.
Best technology
In the technology category finalists included Modulehammer, LinkIt, Versatile and Spotify Playlists. The winner was NodeStream. We believe NodeStream is a great example of how Drupal can be done, and done right. NodeStream combines best practices and knowledge we've gathered throughout many projects in a single platform. We're very happy to see that others find it as powerful and useful as we do.
Drupalist of the year
Finalists included Martin Edenström, Pontus Nilsson (NodeOne), Fabian Sörqvist (NodeOne), Dick Olsson (NodeOne) and Pelle Wessman. Perhaps not a huge surprise but so deserving, our own Johan Falk won the award as drupalist of the year. Johan, author of three books on Drupal and known as " the screencast machine", has single-handedly introduced more people to Drupal than anyone else we can think of. Unfortunately Johan couldn't attend the camp but instead showed a video greeting.
