Sony Ericsson Labs is a new website where Sony Ericsson shares application concepts and beta-versions with everyone who is interested in mobile applications and where new ideas can begin to take shape.

Sony Ericsson Labs was planned, designed and implemented in only 462 hours by a team of five persons from NodeOne.

Following is a breakdown of the time spent:

• 54 hours on interaction design (Fabian von Tiedemann and Matthias Grönwall),
• 82 hours graphical design (Matthias Grönwall),
• 94 hours on Drupal theming (Michael Axelsson),
• 162 hours on Drupal development (Joakim Stai),
• 8 hours on optimization and security (Thomas Barregren), and
• 62 hours project management (Fabian von Tiedemann).

It is amazing how much that were accomplished in such short time. There are two things that made this possible:

• Very close collaboration between NodeOne’s team and Thomas Bailey and Marcus Hansson at Sony Ericsson.
• The power of CCK, Views and other Drupal modules which make it possible to build a such complex site The Drupal Way with almost no programming.

Sony Ericsson Labs is in “beta” (that is in constant evolution), and will be developed further by NodeOne.
